1994 merc 30 impeller replacement

need to replace water pump impeller on 94 2cyl 2stk 30 hp. minimal saltwater corrosion .never had lower unit off on merc done a few v6 yammies and johnsons is thier anything some brilliant merc engineer did that could cause me some problems "Ford has a few if ya know what i mean" Just remove bolts ,unhook linkage and shift rod? any help would be appreciated

If you can do a v-6, this is a piece of cake... Have fun...

so then its bascially the same as yamaha just dont want it to end up as another merc anchor.
