1994 Merc 50 electrical/tach

1994 Mercury 50 #1060412pt
Tach replaced still does not work.
Bought new rectifier and in the process of replacing found 2 things.
one, can't seem to find old rectifier.

Also the 2 yellow wires coming from the regulator have been hot. The wires look fine, however the connectors are slightly melted on both yellow wires.

Where the heck is the rectifier located on this engine.

Its part of the regulator. Those 2 yellow wires is what feeds it.

I thought that might be the case. I bought the wrong part.
