My 1994 Four Winns with 5.0 EFI will not start. Due to a overheating issue I changed thermostat and water pump. Engine ran on muffs with no rise in temp. Actually was running very good. I replaced the spark plugs, inspected the wires and cap and rotor.
I warmed up motor to operating temp shut it off and decided to degrease motor before winterizing. It has not started since. I also had changed the two oil sending units with new Sierra parts. Motor acted as if it was going to run and then didn't. It being fuel injected it normally starts instantly. Oil pressure at console gauge was erratic, that is why I changed senders. I have spark at coil and at plug. It will not fire on starting fluid either. Fuel pump has power but I cannot feel any movement or hear it energize. I read oil pressure senders cut-off fuel supply to keep engine from self destructing due to lack of pressure. I re-installed old senders and still nothing. Battery voltage is right. I also read an alternator issue could contribute. Being I sprayed degreaser and water (hose) (not pressure) raising steam, did I create my own problem? How many fuel pumps are there on this? Just the single external, by oil filter side of motor or is there a pump in tank as well? I have googled the problem and am getting no where.

Totally un-nessary to wash a motor. If you got the computer wet, its probably finished

I might (carefully) unplug the computer connectors and fuel pump relays and dry everything out with a hairdryer (low heat). I re-animated my old iPhone 6 that got too damp this summer that way and it still works!
