1995 150 Oceanpro starter/bendix??

Anyone familiar with the difference in symptoms.Never a single issue in over 5 years and plenty of starts.Today I turned the key and the starter just spun without engaging.

Spray bendix with WD or PB blaster. Work loose. Try again

thanks,thats the 1st thing i thought of and put a jump pack on the battery.same spinning

Looks like you will be taking things off to get to the top of the starter. I like the dry teflon spray to loosen it up. Doesn't attract dirt like oil/grease does.

easier said than done.The flywheel is totally covered as is the top of the starter.

It's been a long time but I had to pull the starter on my 94 175 years ago. If I remember right all I did was disconnect the battery cable and solenoid wires from the starter and remove 2 bolts and the starter came right out.
