1995 200 merc lots of smoke

have twin 200 merc 2.5l offshore motors starboard motor just started to smoke alot. heavy blue smoke, been trying to figure out whats up ?
motor runs fine at all rmps no problem running. just smokes like a bast referred to seloc mercury manual thinking its something with the oil pump linkage adjustment , not to familar with it and would hate to screw it up any ideas besides a outboard mech thanks

Not likely the linkage unless it's connected wrong. It can be connected with the arm backwards so that it'd always pump at full strength. Compare it to the non-smoking one and make sure the arm is in the same approximate position at idle. Otherwise I'd look for a fuel line air leak or restriction.

now that I think about it the other day I was idling around and the motor stalled almost like it ran out of gas, pumped the bulb and it felt empty. After a few pumps the ball was full and motor started back up only happened once so far could it be tied in with what you were saying with a leak in the fuel line may be a bad fuel bulb, and you say this might be causing excessive smoke what do think .

Primer bulbs do not stay firm after an engine starts. Fuel is being sucked through them -- not forced through them. They should not be sucked flat however. If that's the case, then there is a restriction between the primer bulb and the pickup tube in the fuel tank, or the fuel tank vent is not open or clogged.
