Ive just installed a power trim on my 1995 force 40hp. The motor was previously manual tilt so i have no reference. Any help in telling me how to rout the wiring would be really helpful. I dont want to pinch or burn anything.
Obviously (?) the red power lead connects to the starter relay.
if you have a picture it would really help.
The green and blue connect to the harness but i need to know where to lay the wires out of harms way.
Also the negative leads from the relays connect where exactly?
Any help MUCH aprreciated!

I couldn't get my photos to upload I will have to resize them. But I will tell you what I found out. The neg side of the relays go to a bolt on the block just above the relays It looks like the buss for the motor. The blue and green wires run under the hex shaped shaft Either the shift linkage or throttle. and around the front of the motor coming up by the Starter motor where they are connected to the blue and green wires from the control control box right by the plug. the wires from the control box do not go into the plug (connector).

I ordered the switch which i installed in the control box and laid the wires in the motor per the supplied pics. Cant for the life of me work out how to connect it all up.
My trim motor has a green and a blue wire. The switch has a green a blue and a red.
Each relay has either a green or a blue wire and both have a single beige or maybe light blue/white wires.
So do the green and blue from the motor go TO the beige/ light blue+ white wires on the relay?
This would make the green and blue wires FROM the relays to go to the switch.

The green/white and blue/white small small gauge wire go to the switch in the console the green to the down side and the blue to the upside. The red wire on the switch goes to the B connection on the ignition switch or always hot 12 v connection. The green/white and blue/white wire go from the switch to the relay according to there color Green to the down relay and blue to the up relay.
The heavy gauge red wire from each of the trim relays connects to the starter solenoid battery terminal. out of the relays. The heavy gauge green and blue wire go to the trim motor.
Do the relays have black and red wires? Do they have black wires? I am trying to make sense of the color codes. I will check when I go to my garage this evening.
The single blue and beige wires are confusing me. Tell me which terminals on the relays they are going to.
