1995 60 HP Mariner quits running after a few minutes

I have a 1995 Tracker TX 17 with 60 hp Mariner. I have replaced the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb including a new fuel filter. The bulb stays tight after engine stops. This has happened twice now. Once on the water and on muffs. Any thoughts?

I am fighting a similar issue on a 96 60hp. I found after a few minutes it dies due to loss of spark. Im currently diagnosing everything to try and isolate the problem. Thinking its the switch box or the stator or a combination.

Does the motor start right back up?

First off check compression, spark test the plug wires and yeah a switch box will work intermittently but is a spendy guess to throw at it. The only way to test the switch box is with a DVA meter.
