Gassed up last Sunday. had ignition ON to watch gas gauge. Forgot and left ignition on all week. Came back today and boat was beeping away.

It is continuous beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep not beep beep beep.
Disconnected two blue wire from oil tank - continued.
Disconnected tan/blue wire from sensor on head (temp I think) - continued.
Disconnected tan/blue wire that appears to go into ignition block and beep stopped.
Saturday when I can get some time what should I check?

Thanks.

Re: 1995 60hp mariner beeping

Testing seems to indicate the problem is the warning module according the Clymer manual I have.

Doesn't disconnecting the two blue wires do the same test?
Called the dealer. 121.70 + tax. He can order Monday and have Tuesday or Wednesday.

Does anyone have a the ohm reading I should get from the warning module? I would like to try and confirm problem before ordering part.
Also, is dealer only source of this part? Any good online stores in Canada. I could not find part listed here on iboats.

joed iv'e been burnt on this one too many times .there is no ohms reading .the best i can figure is module goes to a default mode when oil switch is unpluged I keep a knowen good module in my tool box. it is very comin for the oil float to get saturated with oil my way of testing this is you have to admit is free.

Re: 1995 60hp mariner beeping

The module has been replaced and all is well.
Some notes that may help others.
With the blue wires disconnected there is no beeping.
If you short the blue wires it simulates low oil and beep beep beep etc.
The blue wires from the tank measure open if the oil tank sensor is working and there is oil in the tank.
