1995 70 hp Force Rebuild

i have a bad knock coming from inside my force motor and i am cosidering haveing it rebiult anybody know how much this would cost also is this somthing i could do my self Thanks.

Miles,<br />I recently cooked my 91 50 hp Force. The mechanic I took it to said I would need a new powerhead, which would cost about $1400. plus labor of about $200-$300. I don't know exactly what is wrong with yours, but the very worst it could be would be $1700. If you have some mechanical aptitude and a few special tools you can probably do the re-build yourself yourself. I reccomend getting a Clymers manual for your motor before you start.

thank you for the info is the clymers manual better than a seloc manual

I have a Clymers and I think it is pretty good. Haven't looked at seloc
