1995 Evinrude 200hp????

I just picked up a boat with this motor on it. It was partially take apart when I got it. It has a nipple at the top of the lower unit that is broken. When I run it water shoots out of it. Is there a hose that should be on it? And where does it go?

That's a speedometer pick up. Replace the nipple and attach the speedo hose to it. No speedo ?? They also make a cap for it..

Thats what i was initially thinking but are you noticing this in the water and under way or while on muffs?

No I noticed this while it is on muffs running in my driveway.
