1995 Force Stator?

Will a incorrect stator blow the power box of a 1995 force motor? i dont see how it will but there are soooo many types of stators that claim to go on this motor, and i just spent $500 replacing the switch box(brand new), i dont want it to blow..

Well, we know so far that it is a Force engine made in 1995.

Would be nice to know the horsepower, serial number and model number if you have them.

its a 1995 120hp i have to find the serial # on the motor would prob be a good idea.. ill get it and get back

The serial # is faded to the point of were it cannot be read... but as it goes im to understand that the motor out of the factory came with a black stator.. if you look at http://www.boats.net/parts/search/M... THRU 0E138599/IGNITION COMPONENTS/parts.html
at part number 35 it is obsolete. There is supposed to be an upgraded stator kit for this model that is red and has a pack about 5-6 inches long to improve power and performance as far as the stators operation and endurance.. Now i have a black stator that i purchased that i was told SHOULD work. However Im hesitant to install cause of a rumer that the inccorect stator will blow the power pack. so my question is pretty general: If i install this stator onto my motor, and is the incorrect match(looks damn near identical), will it cause a blow out with any other electrical components?

I've searched through all the models of 120 for the year 1995 and 9710A45 is applicable to them all.
