Just Bought A Lund Tyee With 1995 Johnson 115 2 Stroke Motor And The Last Owner Took Out The Oil Inj And Said There Were Problems With That Years System,does That Seem Ok?also There Is Two Year Old Gas In The Tank(approx 20 Gal) Mixed 50:1 With Stable In It,anything I Should Do To It Before Going Out?

That should be fine, sounds like he switch from Oil injection to premix. Just make sure your gas is premixed correctly.

It would be nice to get new gas in there if you can, probably ok but 2 years of sitting I personally would replace. On top of that you are taking his word that he premixed it correctly.

I wouldn't trust 2 year old gas even with stabilizer added.

Marty, You can drain it out, save it and add it to fresh fuel in small amounts. BTW, I had always heard good things about the '95 VRO-2 system.

Yes I would remove the gas.At 2 years old Sta Buld does not work. The only way I know is to syphon it out.

Disconnect the fuel line at the outlet of the primer bulb or at the engine. Add a length of hose if necessary so the end hangs below the bottom of the boat. Squeeze the primer bulb and let gravity (siphon) do the work.
