I was wanting to know how to check my priming solenoid. I have voltage going to the solenoid and the correct ohms when the solenoid is off. How can I check to see if the thing is working. I cant get my motor started and I have tried depressing the key for 5-8 seconds and I hear no clicking or anything. I have to turn the little red lever to get it started and while I am in gear at slow speeds run back there and flip the lever back to the run postition. It runs good after that until I go to start it again and I have to do the same thing. Also at WOT it runs great but every once in a while it will mis like it is starving for fuel...could this be a float issue. If so how do I check the float to make sure it is set right? I can not seem to get this thing running right. Cleaned tank, new fuel lines, new plugs etc. Help please!!!

Yes the coneections look good. Is there some way of disconnecting one of the hoses to the solenoid to see if fuel is sprayed? If so what hose?

Get a test light or a volt meter. Hook it up to the purple/white wire going to the solenoid, turn your key on and push in the key and see if you have voltage at the solenoid. If not, troubleshoot the wiring or switch. If you do, it could be a bad solenoid.
