1995 Mercury 115 hp rough at 1500-2000 rpm

My 95 Mercury 115 HP has a rough spot about 1500-2000 rpm. It was idling rough, but I reset to 600-700 rpm and now idle seems fine. But once I throttle up to 1500 rpm or so it has a rough spot, and then runs smooth again after 2500 rpm (rpm ranges not exact, but close).


Help/thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

I would start by check the spark at all 6 plugs to make sure they are all firing. If that checks out, I would clean the carbs
