Ok, I had a couple 0f post here on this motor.I have fixed everything possible by a human. And to tell you the truth, there was nothing really wrong.trying to make a 2009 out of a 1995.There was bad gas, cleaned and emptied tank, replaced fuel filter 2 times, changed plugs, ran a tank of carb cleaner through tank,1/2 tank and 1 pint to be exact,I had installed an inline fuel filter ahead of motor,in fuel line, replaced that as starved engine of gas,3 miles an hour slower,on the way to the lake tomarrow morning,I have purchased a manuel, new carb gaskets, new fuel pump rebuilding parts, installed new Mercury fuel line with bowl to get rid of inline filter that I installed, top speed was 27 miles per hour at 5,000 rpm's.Bass Tracker Pro Deep Vee 17,I think that I got it,if not, carb rebuilds, fuel pump rebuild next weekend.Trying to fill the freezer with a lot of 17" crappies. Before the rebuilds. What do you guys think.Good or Bad.

Hi
What is the problem with the motor? Is it starving for fuel or do you just want to get more top end out of the motor? I know for some with the tracker come with a 13" pitch prop. That works great for the boats if it don't have a lot of load on it. I have the tx185 pro. When I loaded my gear into it, Top end was less that the 27 mph you are seeing now I changed the prop to 11" pitch and picked up my top in to 32mph @ 5675wot. I have a 50 4 stroke on it and I'm happy now my hole shot is good and the top end is fair as well.
My last question is what is your wot rpm? By the book it should be around 5750 rpm. If the 5000 is the wot then you are running your wot a little low.
