My engine started smoking excessively probably because I operate at slow speeds so much. So I decarbonized the engine this year and replaced the oil with synthetic. I read here that synthetic oil smokes less so I filled it with synthetic oil. Question is do I need any linkage adjustments to use synthetic oil in this motor? My excessive smoke problem has been completely fixed however now I have cylinders missing when I accelerate to high speed. The manual says this can be caused by to lean oil mixture. Or it could be a main jet obstruction. So I'm wondering if any adjustment needs to be made to burn synthetic oil? I haven't yet checked the main jets in the carburetors yet but I have never had a problem with them in the past. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.
