What causes a bulb to lose prime. I replaced the bulb and it is still losing prime. Replaced al fuel lines also. I prime it and it still run fine but stop to fish and then it will start but when throttling up it will die and i have to reprime it and it will run fine until the next stop to fish have to prime again.

The problem may be past the bulb. Any leakage between the bulb and needle valve in the carbs could cause this.

The hose, hose and motor fuel connector, hose from the connector and fuel pump, the fuel pump, hose between pump and carb and finally the float needle valve. Or it could be a leaky check valve in the bulb.

What happens if you let the motor idle a few minutes longer before taking off? The carb bowls should have enough gas to run the motor and get the fuel pump sucking and filling the hoses without squeezing the bulb.

And hey, :welcome: aboard.
