Hello all, after doing some reading I am not finding anything to help my case.
I have this motor which receintly failed. After troubleshooting I found it has no spark. Checked the ignition switch, kill switch, stator.....all checked fine with ohm meter. Next, suspecting power pack, replaced it with new one from evinrude. Still have a no spark condition.
So with reading other posts, am I correct to remove the port side plug on the cdi box to check for faulty harness?
Where else should I look? I feel it may be something simple I am overlooking. Any input is greatly apperciated.

Have you tried disconnecting the black wire with yellow stripe at the connector before it heads into the powerpack?
Use the choke to kill the engine if that fixes the issue as you wont be able to kill the engine by key with that undone

Well I didn't see anywhere to unplug those wires separately, so I unplugged the port side plug going into the pack. No spark. I removed the ignition switch and ohmed each terminal to ensure the switch was ok. I also checked the kill tether to ensure it was working. I unplugged the two yellow wires going to the regulator. Same symptom. The only test I didn't complete was unplugging the main harness because I don't have a remote that the manual calls for. Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance and thanks for the response mate

One check that did fail was the voltage to the red/yellow wire while cranking. It was at 10.2. Had some corroded wires on starter, removed, cleaned. Got voltage up to 10.5. Will this being lower than 11 cause a no spark situation?

Update, turns out the optical sensor was faulty. Too bad that wasn't the only thing wrong with the engine. It would run fine at WOT, but wouldn't idle worth a crap. Changed the fuel filter. Ran out of time to trouble shoot. Likely idle circuit in the carb. That motor is off and a new 200 yammy 4 stroke in its place.
Thanks for the help guys......now onto a post for my next evinrude motor issue....
