I expect my engine will outlast the rest of the boat anyway, so it doesn't matter too awful much, lol.

True , most of the fresh water lake boats ive been around for last 40 years run fine but floors, stringers, transom, and interior fabric get roached and people move on, but engine and drive still have many hours of life left.

the guy i sold my 1991 Sea Ray 170 to ( in 2016 still very nice shape), said that he paid me ($3400) less than he would have spent reupholstering his old boat.…
