Hello, this is my first post and we just bought a new (to us) '95 Sea-Doo. The thing runs great and the speedometer works great but the all-purpose gauge which displays low gas/oil, over heating, and a few others. The self-test you can do when the lanyard is out works fine too. The gas gauge goes all the way up, then back down, and all for LEDs light up. It then automatically times out after 33 Seconds. To get to the point of my question I have for everyone, basically everything works great on the Sea-Doo but the multi-purpose gauge. It constantly has a low gas light on even with a full, new tank in. It also does not display how much gas is left in the tank, which is a problem, because we have to manually check to see how much is left in the tank. My dad and I tried a few connections but only to find that they didn't do anything to improve our situation. :( If ANYONE knows how to get the multi-purpose gauge to work and the Low Gas LED light to go off, PLEASE tell me. Your input is greatly appriciated....thanks!

Our Sea-Doo is also a 1995 Sea-Doo GTX 3-Seater. I forgot to add that in and when I remembered, I couldn't find how to edit a post. Sorry.

I believe it will be a 96 gtx the 95 did not have the info center, my suspicion is that your fuel sending unit is bad or your float is not working, most 96 gtx models had a black composite float that gets heavy and sinks to the bottom of the tank, the gauge showing the bars on the test run is just seeing if the display works and since it goes all the way up and then goes back down it appears the info center is ok, just fix the sending unit. look at the last 2 digits of the vin on the hull those tell you the year of the ski. if It turns out to be a 95 and I misunderstood the description of the guage, as a 95 has 2 small guages in comparison to the 96 with big guages, I believe that it will still be the same issue however my experience is that the 95 uses a white plastic float and for some reason the floats usually leak and allow fuel to get inside, if this is the case I have had good luck taking a pin and opening the small round molding spot on the center of the bottom of the float and shaking out the fuel, then carefully remelting that spot with a soldering gun resealing it and installing it back in the sending unit with that spot on the bottom. if you remove the sending unit and have the wires hooked up you can do the test with the unit held upside down and see if it shows full, that will confirm that the circut board is ok and the problem is just the float.
