Re: 1995 stratos 280sf transom repair
hey guys I know it has been a year or better sonce I last updated this post but I wanted to let everyone know how the seacast transom was holding up ...so far we have about 200 hrs on the boat since the rebuild and all I can say is that it is rock solid ...on her maiden voyage we got caught in a storm rolling in and had to motor about 8 miles back to the dock in what would easily be 4'-8' swells on the lake with a head wind of about 45 mph ...i fifgued this would be the true test ...and it held beautifully ...I have fished and pulled skiers and multiple tubes ..and taken the family out more times than I can count without any fear of a failure.
To sum it up if you have a candidate for a pourable transom then do not hesitate ..I am more than pleased.
I will take some recent pictures to post up here of everything finsished...and with my total investment of less than 3000.00 on this baot I think I got one great deal..
And also I cant thank all of you guys enough on the help and guidance...had I not had this forum I would have never even consiodered diving off head first into this project...so from the bottom of my heart I thank all of you guys...
