Where is the tilt/trim sender unit located. Someplace on the engine but it is not shown in the selco service manual under wiring.
Well......follow the wires from the gauge. Hard to guess what engine you have .......... crystal ball broken
More details needed.
Update: I discovered the sender unit is located on the starboard side of the tilt/trim mount. I removed it from the motor and attached an ohm meter to the two connections. When I moved the control shaft I could see the resistance change so that tells me the sender is working correctly. It was a brown/white wire and attaches to the same color wire inside (starboard) the engine housing. It was disconnected. I verified this was the correct wire by again placing my ohm meter on the end at the motor and the end under the dash attached to the trim/tilt gauge. Same wire. Once I had the brown/white wire reconnected to the cable harness I moved the control shaft to see if the gauge moved. I did have the switch turned on by the way. No movement at all. Verified power was running to the gauge.Where is the tilt/trim sender unit located. Someplace on the engine but it is not shown in the selco service manual under wiring.
Glad it worked out.
Me..... I don't use a gauge ........ I use the boat handling and set of the pants method since varied conditions require different trim.
