I have a 1995 Volvo-Penta 5.0 FL that is running away, hot.
I pushed water back through the lower unit at the oil cooler hose and did get water coming out the lower unit.
On line, I find only one water pump impeller for that engine with the water pump located at the front of the block, running off the serpentine belt, sort of below the alternator.
Is there another water pump in the out-drive lower unit that should be changed, too?
