I was told by someone that my yamaha outboard spanner nut is not needed mine is very worn out . I was told what it was when the prop was removed , there is no information online , any information or advice would by great , thanks
What we have here boys is a failure to communicate.
The lower unit retainer nut and washer are somewhat important. Help to hold the bearing housing, propeller shaft, propeller some other needed parts in the lower unit.
