Sounds like dirty carbs. Drain each carb onto a clean white rag to check for water or debris, just to see what's in them. Probably going to have to get carbs cleaned, then use Sta-Bil Marine all the time and install a water/fuel seperator. Good Luck!

Have carbs ever been cleaned? Don't take much to plug a low speed jet.

I've never cleaned my carbs, but if you want to tackle it, you might want to buy a set of 3 carb kits and a Yamaha manual telling how to adjust and synchronize carbs after cleaning or rebuilding. I'm no expert and might consider paying a Yamaha dealer the $200 approx. to clean and set carbs for me. Good Luck

carbs are easy to clean, just pay attention to where all parts come from , some have different size jets in them.
Probably do not need all parts in kits just pick up what you need after looking in them.
Take apart completely and clean all passages with carb cleaner and blow with compressed air. Any trash or varnish in the pump and lines that breaks free will end up in jets and cause problems so, it may take more than one time to make it completely right.
You will need a manual for the adjusting after putting back on.
