1996 23' Sunbird I/O - Need Engine Box Gasket

My boss owns a 1996 Sunbird 23' with an I/O. It's a Volvo outdrive with the Mustang GT 5.0L engine in it. The gasket around the engine box is shot and he hasn't been able to locate a new one even through Evinrude/Bombardier. Problem is now water wants to run into the engine compartment before it exits via the scuppers and his bilge pump has to run more than necessary. That is killing the batteries and his boat is moored at a marina that isn't exactly around the corner from his house. Any suggestions on what/where he can look? I'm going to search through Ebay and Craig's List plus try and find one from Bombardier but I'm thinking a salvage yard may be the end result. He would rather not go the salvage route if possible.

Get a sketch or pick or dimensions of the gasket end profile.
Then go to J.C. Whitney or search for like automotive restoration websites like Chevy Year one, etc. for door gaskets, etc.

Most likely it is not a gasket unique to Sunbird and is a common profile gasket used for door and trunk lids, etc.
