Hi,

I rebuilt both the carb and pump, and set both idle mixture clockwise seat lightly and turn back 1 1/4 turn, if I wide open the throttle, then start, it looks fine, after I close the throttle, it won't stay idle.

I ever checked the 4 cyl compression, all around 110, looks fine, gas is fresh.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.

When it's about to die coming off high rev, what happens if you hit the enrichner? If it stops/delays it from dying, thinking 1 1/4 is too lean.

Open the screws up another 1/2 each, see what happens. They're all touchie in that, even an 1/8 can make a big difference in idle performance .....Mine seems to like 1 2/3 - 1 5/8

(Out/CCW is richer mixture, In/CW is leaner mixture)

yes, I still have it, it looks like worse than before.
I had service manual, I didn't set the float height, I can 't find any reason, so I have to try whatever I think.

It died jus after I close the throttle, if I turn back anther 1/2 it seems last longer, but it die soon.

Hmmmm, assuming the carb's are okay, float levels and such, did you check the primer bulb after it died? Maybe something went amiss in the fuel pump.

Thanks,

I think the 'throttle' I mentioned in my post is not throttle, it's a quick idle lever.
the primer bulb is softer than before, however it's still stall even I keep squeezing the bulb.

Will it idle at like 800-900 RPM's if like you manually hold it there somehow? Maybe you just need to adjust the idle set screw? Link and Sync if you will, thinking that got out of whack.
