1996 40hp no spark

I have a 1996 40hp tracker thats not getting any spark. Where should I start checking? And how the best way to check?

Start with the kill switch, wiring, controls in neutral, main fuse or circuit breaker.

I take that back, start with a repair manual, a Clymer force repair manual will do.

If you are gonna troubleshoot the ignition, you need the manual.
