We are purchasing a 1996 41' 355 Carver Aft Cabin. Survey looks good. Has anyone got any advice on what to watch for on the sea trial which is tomorrow, June 21? We understand its not a good idea to use the supplemental fuel tank in the back due to planing issues, and would be interested in hearing from other owners who have similar boats. Thanks!

Re: 1996 41' 355 Aft Cabin

We have a 2001 356 which is basically the same boat. We have had great results with ours with no major issues since new. I have not heard of the aft tank concern. I use ours as a regular part of the rotation and let the trim tabs tkate care of the trim. You will tend to find that they lean a bit to port at rest when fully loaded with all of the things people put on board, and the placement of such things as the water tank which is off to port under the master berth doesn't help.
Good luck!
