My boat is running a little rough this year. At power on plane I can feel occasional power loss even though the tach doesn't always show it. I am thinking it's due for plugs, wires, cap, button, fuel filter, and PCV valve to throw some easy parts at it. It might need a carb clean too. Can I just go to NAPA etc and get what I need? What do I ask for there (wish there was a cross reference manual for all parts somewhere)? I have the fuel filter here, but the rest I'd need. I heard iridium plugs were the way to go?

Additionally, after I ran the boat at a normal cruse for 20 min, I shut her off for a bite to eat at the local restaurant. 45 min later when I went to crank, it took 5 times to get her started and it didn't sound like it wanted to run. I'm hoping this is related to my tune up, but I guess it could be carb related too. Thanks for the help all.

napa would have sierra marine parts in stock (or they can get them quickly)

however the plug type is on the engine cover

The EST distributor has very little problems, and plugs will last a very long time. IMO going to iridium plugs is just wasting money but that's just me. Cap and rotor would be good to replace after inspection and finding it needs it

I would start with the fuel filter and dump the contents into something clear like a baggie to see if there is other things in there. If gas is clean or if not replace the filter and then test pressure at the Throttle Body

I will replace the wires for sure and fuel filter and report back with plug condition. I have ngk-bpr6fs in it now. This is the fifth year I’ve had the boat and I’ve never done plug wires. It had new cap and rotor button 5 years ago too. Stay tuned.
