E90TLEDA. I can cruise all day at say 1/8th to WOT and no issues. If I go extremely slow, my Hot light comes on. I replaced the waterpump last week, and the situation remains. I have a strong steady stream from the telltale. Could this be a thermostat issue?

Oh, and this is a fresh water only boat, if that helps with the diagnosis.

When on plane, the pressure relief valves open up and flood the powerhead with extra cooling water. Once you go to idle or just off idle, the pressure relief valves close and all the cooling water must go thru the thermostats on it's way out of the block and down the exhaust tube. I'd agree-look at the thermostats they may be restricted or just not opening.

Bought a thermostat kit, installed it, and badda-bing, all better. :) Thanks
