25hp Evinrude, starts and idles at it should. after about 1500 rpms (estimate) the alarm speaking in the throttle control starts to click rhythmically, and then increases with speed as the rpms increase. I haven't pushed it much at all, but the boat will accelerate and get up on plane as normal but the alarm sound continues. This sounds very different to me than the normal high temperature alarm sound as when i throttle back down to idle it stops completely, immediately. Motor is pumping water normally. Impeller and thermostat replaced beginning of last season and everything operated normallly last season. What are the possible causes for this?
