In 96 there were 2 115's. One was a crossflow and the other was a 60 degree looper which is totally different. The 112 and the crossflow 115 were basically the same. Both 115's came with oil injection but were not VRO's.
The 112 came under the "SPL" (special) nameplate.<br /><br />It was a "value line" engine that was frequently pre-packaged with boats made by OMC owned boat companies.<br /><br />It was strictly "marketing".
