1996 merc 125 elpto WOT?????

I was wondering what the WOT range is on this motor.<br />My manual only says 5000 rpm.<br /><br />Usually mercury gives a rpm range.<br />The tag on the tilt and trim doesn't have anything but the serial # and weight.<br />My old motor had max rpm also.<br />Thanks

Althought 5000 seems a bit low, but if the manual says so then it must be. This is Mercury factory manual, correct? What RPM's are you currently getting.<br /><br />Give the serial number as this may be able to help other people here give you the info needed.

My manual is an aftermarket POS clymer.<br />I haven't Ran the boat since the motor upgrade.<br />So I don't know what RPM I am getting.<br />My old motor said 5250-5500rpm(1996 75hp)<br />I have a 22 pitch highfive and a 26 pitch laserII that came with the motor.<br />According to merc online prop selector it says my boat with that motor should use a 26.<br />The prop selector is always wrong to the highside so I figure I will start with the 22 and go from there.
