1996 merc 40, no tell-tale?

Ok...I have looked over this thing top to bottom...and there is no tell-tale (pee hole) that I can find... its cooling and runs great...but I want to see it!! Is there any way I can add one?

there should,, better be one. take your cover off and look for a hose that mounts to the base from your power head. usually its on the right rear side. not unusual for bugs and crud to plug it up. motor will still cool if plugged, and working weedeater line up it will usually free it up. or dissconnect on power head and blow out. if bugs plugged it up, the hole can be covered right over and hard to see
