1996 Merc 60hp.
Stator 398-9710A23
Trigger 99021-A15
Switch Box 1905A2
Ive done the Black/Yellow Wire disconnect with no luck and Stator yellow wires disconnect with no luck. Stator Ohms out good. Trigger ohms out good. Bought a Used switch box on ebay with a warranty and it wont even try to run with that switch box. Assuming that one is bad. Sending back for a refund and ordered a CDI switchbox.
Engine runs perfect when cold. as it warms up it starts coughing. after running for about 2-3 minutes it sputters then dies. Try to restart and no go. Check for spark at this time and no spark on all three coils.
If its not the switch box I don't know where else to look. Anyone else have any luck with an issue like this? I've searched the forums and found a few threads that have helped me get to this point. I ordered a DVA adaptor for my multi meter and plan to diagnose it when that comes in. Assuming i will have to check everything when there is no spark.
