I ahd toe have my trim motor/pump replaced last spring. When they did they install they put an inline fuse it the power lead. Last month it started blowing the fuse. I have completed some preliminary troubleshooting and have found that the motor is pulling about 29 amps when running. This seems high, but I really do not know what it should be pulling. I am looking for some help on what may be the problem and how amny amps this motor should pull. Also, when the trim motor is running it is pulling the battery voltage down to about 10 volts. As I said this just started happening and I am not sure what else to check. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the place to start is the place that replaced the motor, The motor it's self sould not be fused but the controls that operate the soliniod are, if a starter draws a battery down to 10 usally the starter is bad and the trim don't draw near the amps that a starter does

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the boat shop that did the work closed last week. Any other ideas?

I can understand that, find out who the motor was built or rebuilt by call them and explain your problem and they should refer you to another one of their dealers in your area for possible warranty work
