Tried to post this yesterday but didn't work so trying again. I have a question on what the maximum timing should be on this unit? The Seloc manual specs show a max cranking and WOT setting. I'm doing a static tune without the plugs in and have been told drop the string down 2 degrees with this procedure since there is no load without compression. WhI checked one should I be using for max timing? Cranking or WOT? First one to answer this is my hero.

First thing I would ask is why are you doing this? If it is just a tune up leave it alone there are very few reasons timing goes out on an outboard.

Good question if someone hadn't screwed with before I got to it. Just need a answer to a question without another question. Thanks

Thanks, I actually got my answer from someone who answers questions when asked.
