1996 mercury 75

Looking into a pontoon boat, it comes with a 1996 Mercury 75hp outboard. Never had a merc motor and was wondering if this motor would be hard to get parts for if it ever needs repairs? I have a bass boat with a force outboard and parts are not easy to find and I don’t want to run into that issue with this merc motor. Thanks in advance

Force was the Chrysler outboard that mercury bought. It is not surprising that parts are scarce.

Mercury has been around a long time, and is still going strong. I would expect normal replacement parts to be readily available.

For other parts. the internet is a pretty good source.

Haven't had any issues finding parts for my '94 Merc 90 hp. Outside the fact that Covid 19 has caused a backup on a LOT of stuff for everyone of course.
