When I first got it and started it up it would idle but it would idle like this

(vroom vroom vroom POP vroom vroom vroom POP)

I messed with the air screws and it stopped.

I took it on the water for a bit.Tried to load it up on the trailer and it stalled when I tried to give it a little gas to go up on the trailer.

So i turned the idle up a smidge and turned the air screws a lil more and that sucker when straight up on that trailer no problamo.

It also picked up 5 mph after doing what I did with the air screws.

I no nothing about boat motors.

But I have built TONS of GNC national 310r's (atv) stroke racers.

It sounded like a 250r or even a 450r (4stroke) starving for air so I gave it air.And now it runs better than its ever run BY FAR.

Did I do the right thing?

And there is also a SLIGHT hesitation when you get on it from idle speed like a second and then WAM its on and runs so smooth you dont even hear any change in the motors pitch or sound just a real nice hummmmmmmm.

Generally, with a 2 cycle you want to set it for peak speed, then come down the rich side a bit. If it's too lean, it won't accelerate, and could burn a piston.

hope it helps

well after that little hesitation it gets all over it.It will do 48 mph trimmed out thats pretty good for a lil 125.I think.....

READ MY LIPS.

If you are running a little too lean, you will get amazing performance, right up to meltdown.

I'm outa here
