1996 or 1998 Evinrude Elan

I just bought a 1998 dealer says, 1996 plate on motor, and stuck it on a 12ft flat bottom tinny. Goes very well. What I need is some information as there were no books with this motor. Its definatly a 35 h/p, 3cyl oil injected. What Im looking for is where to find information on it.

Any information as I like to keep this sort of stuff for futher needs. Plus I need to know how to pull of the OIl Injection system

Another question. Yesterday after a river trip, I noticed oil spread around motor under cover ( I always chech after use. After having a good look I found 2 of the oil injection hoses off, can anyone explain why. <br />That web address was goog but did not have my model number on it.

Duh. The tubes that came of the motor werent oil injection they were out of the carbys. Drains is what Im calling them. Do I feel like an idiot Yes Also ignore my new thread I pressed the wrong button. Bad day

Back again. All problems solved. I had oil injection taken off and tubes from carbys replaced. Thanks everyone for the help. Will be back if I have anymore problms
