Been awhile since I posted here.I just bought a 1996 Sea Ray 210 Select Signature.

Engine Serial # OF778867
Transom Serial # OF669146
Drive Serial # OF695712

I have a shift cable bellow thats leaking just a very little water in the boat. The ujoint bellow and exhaust bellow was replaced beginning of summer last year by the previous owner. My goal is to replace just the shifter cable w/bellow.Is that going to be possible without removing the bell housing ? I visually inspected both of the other bellows and they arent dry rotted or even old looking. The gimble bearing is making NO growling noises.

Thanks for your time
Steve

Sure, you can replace it without removing the bellhousing. The cable screws in from the drive side of the bell housing, and turning to port gives plenty of room to access the bellows,

Just FYI.... It's a bellows (yes, with an "s" even when it's just one)....Like a fireplace bellows. "Bellow" is the sound people make when they have to replace one!
