I got a good suggestion from a person on another forum.He said if you think it's dieing because it's flooding pull the tank fuel line off while it's running then try to lower the RPM's.If it does lower it some more and if that works you know it's flooding...I'll be trying that next.

Well I think I got it fixed.Today I cleaned the fuel filter and bowl and did a very careful link and sync. Now I think it's at a good idle but the tach is showing 1600 rpm's which I suspect is wrong.The manual says this is a 12 pole engine and that's what the tach is set to,any other setting and it would read even higher. I ordered a Tiny Tach to double check before I put it in gear. My mixture screw is set to 1 1/2 out and I didn't mess with it after starting. How does this idle and rpm's sound? Does it sound right as it does to me? Do you think adjusting the mixture screw will get the idle down more? Do you agree that the tach is not correct?

I spoke to soon and now I'm very lost as to what is going on here. I installed a Tiny Tach to compare to my Faria and they are showing the same rpm. I got my idle down to 1500 on the tach and it just does not want to go any lower. The thing is even though I have two tachs showing 1500 it sure does not sound like 1500 to me when I listen to other like engines on you tube. I put an rpm checker app on my phone,hooked my speakers up to my computer,turned it up and compared the different engines and we were all the same. Some I ran at the same time as mine and they both sounded the same...very confused.

Now let me add I am running a 50:1 premix along with my oil injection right now because I'm not sure if the oil injection is working. If I was really running at 1500 would this be a possible cause for not being able to get the idle down? I'm thinking not but I don't know so please someone who might have some answers HELP I'm dieing here. Here's my latest video what do you think does it sound to high to you?
