1997 40 hp oil

So I just picked up pontoon, equipped with a 97 40 hp merc. My question is what oil should I be running? I believe the old owner told me he ran quicksilver. I know the oil is blue in the tank. But I’ve done some research and there seems to be multiple quicksilver types. Any help would be great. Thanks!

You can run any TC-W3 rated 2 stroke oil.
You can spend more for synthetic if you like.
Your motor won't care.
Some say the synthetics smoke less.
