Ran hot back during the fall. I have replaced water pump(2 times), replaced head gaskets and plate gaskets. I did not go into the exhaust chambers due to some broken bolts. Timing checks correctly. Thermostats have been removed, but I did leave the relief valves in place. Still wants to run hot above 4000 rpm.
This motor sits on a 20ft pontoon. It has always been on this boat without running hot. I have even changed props.
1. Can't figure out why it is still running hot. 2. CANNOT find a for real decent cooling diagram.(guess I'm too thick headed to understand the flow without some red and blue lines?)
The water deflectors were replaced.
