I have issue that seems like several people posted about lately, namely engine stalling when opening trotle or having trouble starting but only when engine is hot. First let me list what I have checked so far and than I'll ask about ignition. I have rebuild carbs, replaced ALL hoses, from the tank up to and including the ones between carbs, rebuilt fuel pump, checked all check valves in fuel recirculation system. The mixture screws are turn 1 turn out from lightly seated position. Idle is nice, although I don't know exact rpm's since tach meter is broken, showing unbelievably high rpms. The bulb gets hard and does not collapse during operation, the fuel in filter stays, does not eventually drain. Compression is not an issue, spark plugs are new and are throwing nice spark.
After several hours of operation, they are sparkling clean still, although I noticed on one that it had some oil on it. So now I wonder if there is something wrong with ignition. I looked at the fly wheel position and I found out that when cylinder one (top one) is in the max position that my fly wheel marking align with 4 degrees, rather than 0, as it is stated in the book. But engine looks like new, i mean really like it came from the factory yesterday. Should I trust the book and start messing with the ignition? Please help me, please, plase....
