1997 evinrude 15 h.p four stroke?

I'm looking to buy a 97 evinrude 15 horse four stroke. Has anyone had any luck with this motor? Thanks. Jim

Outboard Non-repair topic, musky. I will move it for you.<br /><br />I had a '97 Johnson 9.9 4 stroker that was an excellent engine and on the same block as the 15. Kinda heavy for 15hp, but easy starting, smooth and quiet.<br /><br />Welcome to iboats.

its a lot better then the current 15 avaiable from johnson<br />dependes on duty of motor and if you like 4 -strokes (i don't wrong application of technology 2 strokes work better for what we use outboards for)
