hi guys i have a 97 model tohatsu oil injected 70 hp that has no spark any ideas

Whip out your Factory service manual and test the ignition.

Check your fuse and kill switch lanyard...Then its service manual time with the troubleshooting section on ignition systems.

i had just recently bought it and donthave service manual, were is the kill switch located?? thanks for the reply

Go to www.tohatsu.com and download a free copy of the owners manual. That will get you through the basics of ownership. Since you don't know about the kill switch you should probably stay away from any actual service procedures on the engine.

check the wiring loom from the magneto coil ( pull start coil on top/flywheel)
On my year 2000 25hp the loom had got cut through by the clamp that held the wiring loom as it came out the top of the flywheel.

It cut the leads and left me with no spark.

worth a look.
