How do I manually drain the gas out of a 115-Horsepower 1998 Evinrude?

Out of both motor and tanks.

remove fuel line, tilt motor all the way up. the only way to completely drain them is the carb drain plugs. what type of tank? red plastic cans, or built in fuel tank. you are sure making me have to pull this out of you. give me a clue, as to what you have, and why you are draining.

It has a built in fuel tank. Didn't winterize it and want to get all old gas out.

remove the fuel guage sending unit, get a hose that will fit thru the transom drain plug hole, siphon out the gas. dispose of properly. i use one of these the get the flow going, just connect hose to the pump. then when started disconnect and let the fuel flow.
