Appreciate any feed back.

Since i've got the motor been out on the water with it 5-6 times. I've noticed issues trying to maintain a steady RPM rate. If I bump up the gas a little it will kind of just run away and keep increasing until I back down a bit on the throttle. Then when I back off the throttle rpms will dip until I raise the throttle up a little. (idle's great).

Not quite sure what it is or where to start. Couldnt find any other similiar posts. My guess would be remote, fuel flow, or the throttle linkage (probably not the right term). I'm not the most experience boater either so not even sure if this is normal.

more annoying than anything.

Thanks,

Buzz

Re: 1998 120 Force - Throttle Issues

Found a fix. This thursday I went through the fuel system.

Replaced all hoses from tank to Carbs, rebuilt the fuel pump (kit# 12-857005A1), added fuel water seperator in the transom 120-RAC-01, replaced primer bulb.

After that all the issues I had with maintaining a steady RPM went away when I took it out this weekend.
